Overview As Senior Electrical Estimator you will lead cost estimation from take-off to bid hand-off, guiding the team on complex electrical projects. You will assess labor, materials, and conditions, perform site inspections, and coordinate with engineers, customers, and vendors to deliver accurate quotes. The role combines hands-on estimating with directing project-specific work streams, in a cross-functional environment. This position offers visibility into bid strategy and large-scale electrical scopes, with travel to sites as needed and a focus on delivering competitive, risk-aware budgets.

Responsibilities- Develops cost estimates from take-off to bid hand-off and leads bid reviews
- Manages direct reports on assigned projects
- Performs site inspections to determine labor and material needs
- Interprets specifications and blueprints to establish design intent
- Coordinates with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers
- Manages quotation process with vendors and determines equipment needs
- Produces ROM and budgetary estimates and maintains Opportunity Tracker
- Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings
- Completes estimates using technology and conducts computer-based take-offs
Key requirements- Bachelor in Construction Management or Engineering
- 10+ years electrical construction experience
- 5+ years electrical estimating experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of NEC and low voltage systems
- Experience with estimating software (Accubid Enterprise preferred)
- Ability to visit sites and perform take-offs using tools like Bluebeam, LiveCount, BIM
- Read and evaluate specifications and blueprints
- Ability to quantify risks and develop budgets for opportunities from $100k to $100M+
- Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders
- Proven ability to supervise and manage multiple bid jobs under deadlines
