Overview In this role you will lead IonQ's global intercompany accounting, owning the end-to-end monthly close and transfer pricing entries across multiple entities. You will design scalable processes, systems and controls to support growth, working hands-on with accounting entries and cross-entity reconciliations. You will partner with Tax and external advisors to align policy with operational practice, while driving automation and process improvements. This is a hands-on, player-coach role that combines technical accounting with implementation leadership to enable fast, compliant growth.

Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end monthly intercompany close, including entry preparation, cross-charges and cost allocations across IonQ entities
- Execute transfer pricing entries (cost-plus, markups, IP/royalty) per policy and support documentation
- Collaborate with Tax and external advisors to translate transfer pricing policy into accounting entries
- Reconcile intercompany balances and manage settlement/netting cycles with Treasury
- Prepare intercompany eliminations for monthly consolidation and review, ensuring proper documentation
- Account for FX remeasurement/translation under ASC 830 and manage foreign currency impacts
- Support onboarding of new entities with intercompany flows and chart of accounts mapping
- Design scalable intercompany processes, calendars, and policies to shorten close
- Drive automation in OneStream for intercompany transactions and multi-book/multi-currency setup
- Identify root causes of discrepancies and implement upstream fixes across AP, AR, Payroll, and Procurement
- Train and support entity controllers and business partners on intercompany requirements
- Design and execute internal controls over intercompany and consolidation processes and support audits
- Research and document US GAAP positions on intercompany, consolidation, and FX (ASC 810, ASC 830)
Key requirements- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of progressive accounting with intercompany experience in multi-entity/multi-currency
- Hands-on experience with intercompany eliminations and monthly close
- Knowledge of transfer pricing concepts and translating policy into entries
- Strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 810 and ASC 830
- Experience designing/operating internal controls in a SOX environment
- Advanced Excel with large data sets
