Overview

In this role you will lead SOCOTEC's Building Envelope practice in the New York market, guiding high-profile enclosure projects from concept to delivery. You will act as the senior technical authority while shaping strategy, client relationships, and service offerings. Your work accelerates growth, drives innovation, and ensures technical excellence across multidisciplinary teams. This is a hands-on leadership position with focus on complex design, investigations, and project success in a prestigious consulting environment.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning and growth for the Building Envelope practice with new market opportunities
  • Develop and maintain executive-level client and partner relationships
  • Lead business development through proposals, negotiations, and strategic pursuits
  • Manage key client accounts and identify opportunities to expand relationships
  • Oversee financial performance, forecasting, and sustainable revenue growth
  • Collaborate on long-term strategy, priorities, and objectives with leadership
  • Represent SOCOTEC in industry forums, conferences, and thought leadership
  • Drive innovation by assessing emerging technologies and market trends
Key requirements
  • 15+ years in building envelope consulting, design, or related field
  • PE, RA, or equivalent licensure
  • Expertise in new construction, enclosure systems, forensic investigations, rehabilitation, commissioning, and construction consulting
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ASTM, AAMA, NFRC, and industry standards
  • Experience leading complex projects and managing executive client relationships
  • Proven track record in consulting practice management, business development, and leadership
  • Mentoring multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
