Overview

As an Electro Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, you will craft electromechanical concepts and produce production ready hardware for mission critical defense systems. You'll work with a broad engineering community to ensure successful program delivery and maintain stringent reliability and security standards. You'll design subsystems, from CCAs to enclosures, while coordinating with cross functional teams to meet size, weight, and power targets. This role offers hands on design, testing, and supplier collaboration in a high impact environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electromechanical subsystems (CCAs, harnesses, enclosures, sub assemblies)
  • Create detailed mechanical layouts, 3 D models, and drawings; select materials and processes
  • Model wiring harnesses in Zuken; generate Bills of Materials
  • Build model based routing to satisfy constraints on size/weight/power
  • Define acceptance criteria; perform verification tests; document results in Windchill
  • Conduct MRB actions; update engineering change records; maintain configuration control
  • Collaborate with structural/thermal analysts, CM, designers, subcontractors, planning, and quality teams
  • Provide technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, and test phases
  • Travel to supplier sites/manufacturing facilities to resolve issues and validate hardware
Key requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field; Master's preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Proficiency in CREO modeling and electromechanical system design
  • Proficiency with CCA/PWB, cable/harness design and development, and electronic packaging design
  • Technical or project leadership experience supporting high reliability electronics production
  • Project leadership/management across engineering/production lifecycle; scoping, sizing, cost estimation, planning, scheduling, staffing, tracking, EVM
  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication for cross functional interactions
  • Experience working with cross location teams; capturing flowed/derived requirements for electromechanical designs
  • US Citizenship; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
