Overview As an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer, you will design and optimize control systems for capital projects in manufacturing sectors, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient solutions. Responsibilities- Develop and design control systems for food & beverage, life sciences, and advanced technology sectors
- Provide engineering solutions for control systems and PLC/SCADA interfaces meeting safety and optimization goals
- Lead design and estimation for preliminary and detailed project phases
- Conduct system and facility engineering walk assessments
- Create engineering solutions for equipment optimization
- Design systems monitoring temperature, pressure, humidity, and flow in manufacturing environments
- Perform root cause failure analyses and document instrumentation requirements
- Interface with design teams and client representatives to drive project success
- Contribute to day-to-day client relationships with your expertise and collaboration
- Support travel for project execution including installation/start-up and client meetings
Key requirements- 5+ years of experience leading I&C design and estimation for programming phases
- Experience with Rockwell Automation hardware and software
- Experience with mechanical, electrical and process (MEP) systems and collaborating with MEP engineers/technicians
- Experience with multi-disciplinary large capital projects involving owners, GC, contractors, system integrators
- Solid understanding of process systems architecture, instrumentation, device selection, networking, PLC/I/O, P&IDs, data sheets, and SCADA
- Knowledge of environments in large industrial applications (dry/wet mechanical, gas/chemical distribution, HVAC, clean rooms)
- Strong written and verbal technical communication, including reports and presentations
- Willingness to travel for project needs, start-up, and trainings
- Bachelor of Science in electrical, chemical, or mechanical engineering or equivalent in process control instrumentation
- PE license or EIT certification preferred
