Overview In this role you will train and coach workers to uphold the PCI Target Zero Accident Prevention Plan and foster a collaborative safety culture. You will support branch safety programs, perform hazard analyses, and lead site inspections to ensure compliance. You will investigate incidents, report findings, and drive corrective actions with clients and internal teams. This is a hands-on safety leadership role focused on reducing risk and improving safety performance across projects.
Responsibilities- Assist with implementing and administering accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures
- Provide safety technical expertise, training, and resources to the branch and workers
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate safety and health hazards both routine and non-routine
- Conduct job site inspections and audits for policy and plan compliance
- Promote safe work practices through coaching and ongoing safety engagement
- Investigate and report work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents; enforce corrective actions
- Review safety incidents and investigation reports for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure timely submission of safety reports, statistics, and documentation
- Act as liaison between the company and clients regarding site safety management
- Establish branch and project safety goals while ensuring adherence to safety regulations
- Evaluate and approve safety equipment and PPE
Key requirements- At least 2 years' experience in construction safety
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, a related discipline, or comparable work experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
