Overview

In this Strategic Finance Manager role, you will shape Circle's financial strategy for priority growth initiatives, including partnerships, monetization, M&A, and new products. You'll deliver executive-facing analyses, model development, and actionable recommendations to guide capital allocation and strategic decisions. You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Corporate Development, Legal, and leadership to translate data into impact. The role suits a high-growth, high-intensity environment with exposure to AI-enabled analysis and scalable financial planning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex financial modeling for strategic priorities such as partnerships, product launches, M&A, and growth initiatives
  • Develop product-level revenue models including transaction, subscription, and services revenue, unit economics, and scenario forecasting
  • Evaluate monetization models, partnership structures, pricing constructs, margin tradeoffs, and capital allocation with cross-functional leaders
  • Build investment-grade models to support executive decisions (revenue, valuation, synergy cases, ROI)
  • Translate analyses into concise executive narratives for CFO/CCO reviews, board materials, and planning sessions
  • Identify drivers, risks, and tradeoffs across initiatives and make clear recommendations
  • Develop build/buy/partner evaluation frameworks including market sizing and return profiles
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Data to ensure models reflect reality and regulatory constraints
  • Leverage AI tools to speed, improve quality, and scale financial analysis; automate workflows and output creation
  • Create repeatable planning and reporting infrastructure for emerging revenue streams and scalable operations
  • Proactively identify gaps in reporting and modeling and implement practical improvements
Key requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience including 2-4 years in investment banking and/or private equity plus 2+ years in strategic finance, corporate development, or FP&A at a fast-paced tech/fintech environment
  • Elite financial modeling skills with ability to build robust, executive-ready models across revenue, margins, M&A, and scenario planning
  • Strong commercial and strategic judgment with ability to influence decision-making
  • Excellent executive communication skills for concise narratives and board-ready materials
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment
  • Experience supporting strategic partnerships, product monetization, M&A, or high-priority growth initiatives
  • High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to structure problems end-to-end
  • AI proficiency and curiosity with hands-on experience using AI tools for analysis and automation
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling and strong Google Slides/PowerPoint skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or a similar analytical field preferred
