Overview As Lead Graphic Designer for Merchandising and Events, you will shape SpaceX's product and brand moments through apparel, patches, and event collateral. You'll own design from concept to production, collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to meet timelines and customer needs. You'll drive the look and feel of SpaceX merchandise and mission identity across online store, conferences, and gifts. Responsibilities- Design new merchandise concepts aligned with company milestones
- Create gifting items and event-related products (e.g., mission patches, conference gifts)
- Own product design process from concept to production hand-off and meet release deadlines
- Collaborate with customer team to produce mission patches and provide multiple file formats
- Maintain tech packs, fit charts, color standards, and fabric specs
- Enhance the merchandise online store with the website design team
- Produce graphics, typography, and layouts for social, web, and print
- Manage multiple projects with deadlines and under pressure
- Prepare designs for production with printer/vendor specifications
- Contribute to developing the brand identity through merchandising
- Support Marketing efforts as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in design or artistic field
- 5+ years of professional design experience in illustration, graphic design, or print production
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Cross-functional collaboration and influence with stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience designing for merchandise and apparel
- Knowledge of tech packs, color standards, and fabric specifications
