Overview In this role you enable reliable AWS Data Centers by driving design, upgrades, and operation from inception to completion. You will be a go-to engineering resource, troubleshooting issues, conducting RCA and corrective actions, and supporting field and design teams. You lead data center upgrade concepts to increase capacity, availability, and efficiency while ensuring safety and cost effectiveness. You'll work across regional teams on concurrent projects and contribute to a culture that welcomes bold ideas and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities- Troubleshoot failures, perform RCA, and document corrective actions for site and equipment issues
- Provide ad-hoc training and review critical operating procedures for data centers
- Own conceptual designs for data center upgrades to improve capacity, availability, efficiency, and sustainability
- Coordinate with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS to maintain standards
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers and work on multiple projects across regions
- Lead engineering audits and on-site visits, producing risk reports and mitigations
- Serve as resident engineer for new construction, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Valid and active driver's license
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production
- Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing
- Strong engineering judgement
- Detail- and data-oriented
