Overview In this Principal Product Manager role, you steer the long-term platform strategy at iManage, balancing deep technical fluency with strategic leadership. You will shape multi-year roadmaps, drive reusable platform services, and align engineers, designers, and stakeholders around a shared vision. You'll tackle broad, ambiguous problems, translate them into executable plans, and measure impact across the portfolio. This role offers an opportunity to influence product direction, leverage AI, and work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities- Define and own multi-year product strategy and roadmap for a major area of the platform or portfolio
- Identify opportunities to consolidate duplicate capabilities into reusable platform services
- Adapt strategy to competitive dynamics and market shifts
- Partner with engineering, architecture, cloud operations, and SRE to deliver highly available, scalable capabilities
- Participate in API design reviews, cloud architecture discussions, and infrastructure tradeoffs
- Drive AI and emerging tech integration into the platform and assess downstream implications
- Synthesize input from customers, partners, sales, support, and engineering to shape roadmap priorities
- Monitor competitors and differentiate products/services
- Collaborate across engineering, design, data, security, marketing, and go-to-market teams to align vision
- Communicate strategy, roadmap, and capabilities to internal and external audiences
- Partner with product marketing for messaging and differentiation
- Prioritize development with engineering based on market and customer commitments
- Lead go-to-market launches with cross-functional teams to enable the organization
- Define and track product-specific success metrics (adoption, reliability, business impact)
- Run ongoing discovery calls with customers/partners to identify market opportunities and prioritize investment
Key requirements- 10+ years in product management with senior or staff-level experience and growing ownership
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/related field or equivalent experience
- Technical fluency enabling participation in API design and cloud discussions without coding
- Proven track record shipping complex, high-impact B2B/enterprise SaaS products
- Experience applying AI to product work and understanding its architectural impact
- Strong systems-thinking and ability to foresee ripple effects across teams and customers
- Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) in SaaS or hybrid deployments
- Exceptional communication and storytelling for executive audiences and engineering conversations
- Ability to lead through collaboration in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
