Overview

As Tax Partner in our Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) - Real Estate practice, you will deliver federal and state tax planning, consulting, structuring, and compliance for high-net-worth clients in real estate, sponsors, owners, investors, and developers. You will collaborate with the UHNW national leadership and the real estate team to broaden service reach for family offices and related entities. You'll diagnose tax needs, develop creative solutions, and guide engagements from strategy to execution. Responsibilities
  • Provide tax planning, consulting, structuring, and compliance services for high-net-worth clients in real estate and related entities
  • Review tax returns for wealthy individuals, trusts, investment entities, and private businesses
  • Collaborate with real estate team to augment tax services for UHNW clients and family offices
  • Plan client engagements and supervise/review work of team members
  • Manage a book of business and develop client relationships with internal managers and partners
  • Communicate complex tax information clearly to clients and stakeholders
  • Partner on strategic clients as part of the UHNW national leadership team
Key requirements
  • 12+ years of experience with high-net-worth clients
  • Bachelor in Accounting
  • CPA License or JD
  • Experience reviewing tax returns for wealthy individuals, trusts, and related entities; real estate focus preferred
  • Strong private client services experience (personal, trust, estate & gift, charitable taxation) with exposure to flow-through entities, partnerships, and SALT/Franchise taxes
  • Ability to plan engagements, manage compliance projects, and lead a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and client relationship skills
