Overview In this role you will lead data security strategy for the Databricks Lakehouse platform, shaping policy models and controls to meet privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory needs. You'll partner with privacy, legal, and security teams to deliver anonymization, retention, and residency features while enabling safe, scalable access to customer workloads across multiple clouds. Your work aims to differentiate Databricks in enterprise and regulated markets by simplifying secure data usage. You will translate customer inputs into actionable requirements and influence cross-functional teams to execute on the vision.
Responsibilities- Define and deliver data security product strategy and policy models
- Develop and prioritize external/internal controls for privacy and regulatory obligations
- Partner with privacy, legal, and security teams on anonymization, retention, and residency
- Collaborate with cloud teams to provide secure cross-cloud access and confidential compute
- Translate customer inputs into requirements and communicate value to customers and sales
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, solution architects and customer success
- Monitor evolving threats and industry best practices to inform roadmap
Key requirements- 7+ years of product management experience in enterprise B2B or SaaS
- Domain expertise in data security, data privacy, and encryption
- Ability to define success metrics and translate customer inputs into requirements
- Experience partnering with senior engineering leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to influence across engineering, sales, marketing, solution architects, and customer success
