Overview In this role you will lead the planning and execution of gas-fired power generation and related heavy industrial projects. You will liaise between clients and the project team, guiding scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful delivery. You'll drive proposals, execution plans, procurement, and subcontracting while maintaining safety and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused position that pairs technical management with business development and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Lead overall planning and execution of Owner's Engineer, detailed design, and/or EPC projects
- Serve as primary client interface to align objectives, risks, and performance
- Lead proposal development and contract negotiations
- Develop and implement the project execution plan
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts and align with engineering leads
- Manage schedule, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Handle scope changes and change order processes
- Oversee quality programs and reviews for deliverables
- Coordinate with clients, authorities, suppliers, subcontractors, and design teams
- Manage procurement and subcontracting plans and supplier relations
- Direct field engineering services and handle RFIs, nonconformances, and construction issues
- Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, turnover, commissioning, and testing activities
- Lead project meetings and provide status reports on safety, scope, schedule, budget, and risks
- Foster proactive communication, accountability, and client-focused collaboration
- Support business development and client relationship growth
- Other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related degree
- 7 years applicable experience
- Experience on construction sites or executing program management in relevant industries preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work overtime on short notice
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software
