Thermal Engineer

As a Thermal Engineer, you will design and optimize electronic cooling systems for complex hardware. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable thermal performance for Microsoft-related programs. You will model, simulate, test, and iterate to deliver robust cooling solutions at Redmond, WA. This role combines hands-on analysis with design optimization to reduce risk and improve efficiency. You will contribute to high-impact hardware projects and help shape scalable thermal practices.

• Electronic cooling system design
• Thermal design, modeling and analysis; perform thermal characterization studies
• Design optimization and modifications to improve thermal performance
• Perform detailed thermal testing to validate simulations
• Propose innovative and cost-effective design solutions

• 5+ years of experience in electronic cooling system design for both active and passive systems
• Thermal modeling analysis for active and passive systems
• Proficiency in thermal design tools such as Flotherm or Icepak
