Overview As Public Relations Manager II, you will lead strategic communications and executive messaging for CISA's sector-risk-management operations. You'll guide cross sector stakeholder outreach, shaping high visibility products for federal and industry audiences. You'll translate complex cyber policy and risk information into clear, targeted communications. This role sits at the intersection of government partners and industry, offering scope to influence national security communications. You will work onsite in Arlington and drive impact through refined messaging and rapid-response support.

Responsibilities- Develop executive and external-facing communications including emails, memos, talking points, summaries, briefings, graphics, and social content
- Translate sector risk, cybersecurity, resilience, and policy information into audience-specific messages
- Coordinate communication support for sector and cross-sector engagements, working groups, and emergent events
- Gather and reconcile input from federal leads, SMEs, industry partners, and other stakeholders
- Manage designated mailboxes, inquiries, routing, response tracking, and communication logs
- Review products for accuracy, clarity, tone, branding, accessibility, and DHS/CISA style compliance
- Support rapid-response communications and after-action products during urgent operational events
- Use engagement data and stakeholder feedback to refine outreach and messaging
Key requirements- 5+ years experience in strategic communications, public relations, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement
- Strong executive writing, editing, message development, and project-management skills
- Experience coordinating high-visibility products through complex review and approval processes
- Ability to advise clients and work effectively with senior government and industry stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable DHS Fitness Determination (Public Trust/DHS Suitability); U.S. citizenship required
