Overview In this role you support the planning and estimation of highly complex structural, electrical, and mechanical commercial projects. You will work with the Task Order Manager and Service Manager to prepare bid and design/build proposals, perform take-offs, and ensure cost accuracy from plans and supplier data. You'll interpret drawings and specs to identify materials, equipment, and compliance needs, while managing subcontractor pricing and contract documents. Responsibilities- Gather data and assist in bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals
- Perform take-offs from drawings and pricing change orders
- Interpret plans and specifications to identify materials and equipment and ensure project compliance
- Maintain current pricing information from suppliers and contractors
- Prepare bid packages and obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing equipment and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and contract documents
- Develop goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work
- Collaborate with others to reach common goals
Key requirements- Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (listed but not required for this role)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management with 5+ years of experience
- Associate degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience
- High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of planning and estimating experience on complex MEPS projects
- Competence in RS-Means (required)
- Accubid and BIM knowledge a plus
- Experience with contract documents and reading blueprints
