Overview Experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect who serves as the central authority for SAP Finance within NTT DATA. You will lead assessments, advisory work, implementations, migrations, and optimization programs, collaborating with CFOs and finance leaders. You'll translate complex requirements into scalable S/4HANA Finance solutions, ensure clean-core alignment, and guide cross-functional delivery teams. This role blends advisory, design, and hands-on delivery with a client-facing leadership focus.

Responsibilities- Serve as the senior SAP Finance SME across transformation, assessment, implementation, and advisory engagements
- Own Finance solution strategy and architecture for Greenfield, Brownfield, and data transition programs
- Lead end-to-end solution design for R2R, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Financial Close, Intercompany, and Financial Reporting
- Provide architecture oversight for Controlling and management accounting, ensuring full integration
- Act as escalation point for complex Finance design, integration, data, reporting, and delivery issues
- Establish reusable Finance architecture principles, standards, and leading practices across engagements
- Lead solution architecture and detailed design for core SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities (GL, Universal Journal, Asset Accounting, etc.)
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable SAP solutions; evaluate alternatives and provide recommended options
- Review and approve functional designs, configurations, reports, workflows, and integration specs
- Engage with executives and business users to understand processes, build transformation roadmaps, and advise on operating models and governance
- Guide decisions on ledger, currency strategies, data migration, and RICEFW assessment; maintain clean-core focus
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PP, QM, EWM, PS, HCM, Treasury, Group Reporting) for integrated finance workflows
- Provide architecture guidance for Controlling and collaborate with CO specialists for detailed design
Key requirements- 20+ years of SAP experience with deep Finance and solution architecture expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Financial Close, Intercompany, currencies, and tax reporting
- Deep knowledge of S/4HANA Finance architecture (Universal Journal, BP, embedded analytics, Fiori)
- 3-5 full-cycle S/4HANA transformation/implementation programs in Finance roles
- Experience designing Finance solutions across multiple entities, currencies, and accounting standards
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, controls, compliance, and management reporting
- Secondary Skill: SAP Controlling with integration to Financial Accounting; knowledge of CO modules and manufacturing cost flows
- Experience with finance operating models, governance, and process.standardization capabilities
- Ability to lead assessments, Fit-to-Standard workshops, and future-state design
- Excellent communication with executives and diverse stakeholders
- Mentoring and building reusable frameworks for assessments and standards
- Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Finance certification and Activate methodology familiarity
