Overview In this role you will support the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) process within the bank's finance organization, focusing on CECL compliance and regulatory reporting. You will analyze portfolio data, prepare reporting and SEC-related documents, and help ensure accurate, compliant financial statements. The position sits in a finance/ACL-focused team working with cross-functional partners to interpret data and drive transparency. The role offers hands-on data analysis, model outputs review, and contribution to quarterly closes and reporting cycles.

Responsibilities- Support monthly general ledger close and analyze account fluctuations
- Perform monthly variance analyses, reconciliations, and data integrity tests
- Review transaction documentation for completeness and accuracy; investigate variances
- Assist with process improvements and new accounting requirements
- Support integration of acquired portfolios into the general ledger
- Prepare area-specific accounting reports and timely submissions
- Assist with SEC reporting activities and documentation
- Maintain compliance with risk, regulatory standards, and internal controls
- Participate in project planning and routine administrative duties
- Shadow and learn processes, then independently handle reporting tasks
Key requirements- Microsoft Excel (primary tool)
- Basic SQL knowledge (preferred)
- Experience with data interpretation, forecasting outputs, and variance explanations
- Ability to work independently after training
