Overview

In this role you will develop calibration, characterization, and diagnostic software for advanced instrumentation within Teradyne's Memory Test division. You will work with cross-functional teams to design scalable software architectures and solve complex hardware/software challenges. Your work will drive measurement accuracy, data-driven optimization, and product-quality improvements for cutting-edge ATE systems. This is a community-focused role where your technical leadership helps shape toolchains and diagnostics across engineering, manufacturing, and customer support.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement calibration and diagnostic software architectures
  • Develop advanced calibration algorithms for precision measurement
  • Drive characterization strategies for new hardware platforms
  • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, systems, manufacturing, and product engineering
  • Analyze large measurement datasets to identify trends and optimization opportunities
  • Lead root-cause investigations involving software and hardware interactions
  • Develop scalable software frameworks supporting engineering, manufacturing, and diagnostics
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on critical projects
  • Enhance software quality, automation, and development best practices
  • Influence product roadmap with data-driven recommendations
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Expert-level C++ software development skills
  • Strong understanding of calibration methodologies, instrumentation, and measurement science
  • Ability to analyze complex hardware/software interactions
  • Experience working directly with hardware development teams
