Overview In this role you oversee production operations at Ash Grove Cement, ensuring safety and efficient manufacturing. You coordinate with maintenance, quality control, shipping, and production to follow plans. You assign duties, supervise shift personnel, and monitor safety, attendance, and performance. You report on operations and help resolve production issues while supporting maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities- Follow plant safety guidelines and implement safety training
- Coordinate mill and kiln plans with maintenance, quality, shipping, and production
- Assign duties and schedules for shift personnel
- Supervise performance, attendance, and safety meetings
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
- Monitor kiln burning and mill grinding operations
- Review production data and generate reports
- Assist employees with production problems and maintenance requests
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance on mills, kilns, and machinery
- Provide regular operational updates to management
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Key requirements- Vocational/Technical degree in production, process control, or related field
- 3 years of production experience with emphasis on process control (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs
- Proficient in English communication and listening skills
- Ability to lead/manage others
- Knowledge of kiln-burning techniques, grinding processes, and general production operations
- Knowledge of process control design, inventory estimation using geometric calculations, and equipment
- Knowledge of air permit regulations and safety requirements
- Decision-making with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under general supervision and seek guidance for unusual problems
