Overview In this role, you will lead the credit analysis of complex real asset financings across energy, infrastructure, and commodities. You will evaluate counterparties, assess cash flow sustainability, and articulate key credit and market risks. You will prepare formal credit opinions, validate risk ratings, and monitor portfolio health with early warnings. You will collaborate across risk, legal, and front office to shape robust credit outcomes and risk appetite frameworks. Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive credit analysis for project finance and structured transactions, including non-recourse and limited-recourse structures
- Develop in-depth counterparty assessments using historical performance, cash flows, and transaction structure
- Identify and articulate key credit, market, and structural risks for proposed financings
- Prepare formal credit opinions and recommendations for escalation and final sign-off
- Review internal risk ratings, loss parameters, and regulatory capital inputs
- Monitor portfolio performance via ongoing reviews, early warning indicators, and quarterly assessments
- Contribute to watchlist processes and management of deteriorating exposures
- Analyze trends across bank and capital markets to inform risk appetite and strategy
- Support internal/regulatory reporting with portfolio management and governance teams
- Contribute to development/refinement of credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk frameworks
- Participate in evaluating new business initiatives and financing structures, including committee reviews
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and front-office to ensure sound risk outcomes
Key requirements- Minimum 7 years in financial services with focus on project finance, infrastructure, or commodity financing
- Deep understanding of credit and counterparty risk in non-recourse project structures and commodity entities
- Strong familiarity with U.S. financial markets and regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to assess complex, structured transactions with sound judgment and independence
- Experience approving credit exposures and managing risk across a diversified portfolio
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complexity into clear risk conclusions
- Highly organized with multi-priority management in fast-paced environments
