Overview In this role you lead a team of engineers and technical specialists to deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions for product engineering teams. You allocate resources to achieve contractual and financial targets while driving continuous improvement of processes. You will strengthen engineering and design capability and ensure on-time delivery, with a focus on functional safety and cybersecurity. This position sits within ABB's Electrification Distribution Solutions in North America and partners with Product Management, Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities- Provide direction to the engineering tools team with emphasis on functional safety, cybersecurity, on-time delivery, quality, and margin improvement
- Ensure projects/ operations follow internal procedures and close per contract specifications
- Initiate and drive continual improvement of processes to strengthen engineering/design capability and efficiency; apply agile methods to reduce lead time and enhance safety and cybersecurity
- Drive team performance to meet deliverables in line with contract specs and safety, cyber security, and quality requirements
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical distribution
- Experience with product engineering and/or engineering tools maintenance in the Electrical Distribution market
- Proficient in ePlan or other electrical CAD, product configurators, and/or documentation automation
- Passion for project management, leadership, and mentorship
