Overview As a Construction Engineer on site, you support the project team by managing information and authorizations to keep the project on time, budget, and quality. You work closely with Project Managers, crews, and foremen to bridge field operations with project management. The role offers training through Gilbane University and hands-on learning on diverse projects. You will contribute to scheduling, cost reporting, and field quality, helping drive safe, efficient delivery and customer value.

Responsibilities- Coordinate and distribute project information with the Project Manager
- Keep contract document logs up to date in real time
- Prepare status reports on RFIs, submittals, and other documents
- Write scopes of work for bid packages
- Issue RFQs and follow up with trade contractors and vendors
- Update project schedules using CPM techniques
- Document field quality activities in a timely manner
- Prepare change management reports and cost-related documents
- Maintain project quality files and documentation systems
- Develop relationships and expand networks to generate opportunities
- Attend jobsite coordination meetings
- Coordinate delivery and staging with onsite equipment planner
- Assist accounting with billing preparation and review
- Prepare and distribute contracts/POs
- Utilize CM platforms (CMiC, Bluebeam, Procore) for field reporting
- Review self-perform scopes for clarity and efficiency
- Collect and report productivity data for self-perform crews
- Coordinate field execution of self-perform work and monitor safety and quality
Key requirements- BS or MS in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- 2-6 years with a large trade contractor or construction organization
- Proven track record of meeting goals and delivering results
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Team-based work ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- OSHA 10-hour certification; OSHA 30-hour preferred
- Basic MEP knowledge
- Understanding of Contract Documents & Specifications
- CMiC and Bluebeam knowledge preferred
- Experience in a self-performing environment; union experience a plus; estimating experience a plus
