Overview In this role you will provide structural analysis support for commercial programs, focusing on the durability and integrity of gas-turbine compressor components. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, validate, certify, and sustain engines, using FE and classical methods. You will analyze strength, fatigue, vibration, and kinematics, and lead or guide less-experienced engineers. This position offers impact through solving challenging structural problems on high-stakes aerospace systems.

Responsibilities- Provide analytical support for preliminary and detailed design through development, validation, certification, manufacturing and service
- Apply FE and classical methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, and containment analyses
- Support validation testing (engine and rig) and data reduction
- Participate in in-service field investigations
- Collaborate on multi-discipline teams to balance durability, performance, cost and weight requirements
- Provide leadership oversight and technical guidance for less experienced engineers and outsourced tasks
- Coordinate with others to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods
- Document and present results to management and external customers
- Travel approximately 10%
Key requirements- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of experience OR advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
- background in structural analysis and experience with FEM for stress/deflection, vibration, and performing LCF, HCF, Fracture Mechanics or Kinematics analyses
- U.S. citizenship is required
