Responsibilities- Review system block diagrams, interfaces, and schematics for compliance and redundancy against requirements
- Lead FMEA and FTA efforts with cross-functional teams to implement design improvements
- Perform predictive reliability analyses (MTTF/MTBF) using MIL-based requirements and industry standards
- Develop and execute Qualification and Validation Test plans; coordinate with Test Engineering for fixtures and instrumentation
- Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing to optimize assembly, integration, and testing processes
- Develop Maintainability models and support preventative maintenance planning
- Conduct Weibull analyses to predict failures and identify trends
- Lead failure investigations and implement CAPA to close loop on root causes
- Support Development Milestone Reviews with clear entry/exit criteria for production transition
- Create standardized reliability processes, tools, and infrastructure to accelerate design and deployment
Key requirements- Minimum 5 years in Reliability/Design/Development or Test Engineering
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with safety-critical hardware/software in defense/aerospace
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-516C, MIL-STD-1629
- Experience setting up a Reliability Engineering framework across production testing, data acquisition, and analysis
- Expertise in FMEA/FMECA, predictive modeling, Weibull, and Fault Tree Analysis
- Experience generating qualification requirements and conducting tests to characterize behavior
- Proven ability to perform failure investigations and prevent recurrence
- Design Review experience (PDR, CDR, MRR) and strong presentation skills
- Eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
