Overview In this role you will support Collins Aerospace's manufacturing operations in Coralville, IA by ensuring reliable test equipment and effective troubleshooting across complex test systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve test yields, throughput, and overall product quality, while driving test process improvements and capacity planning. You will contribute to production readiness, root cause analysis, and cost-efficient solutions that enable on-time delivery of aerospace products. This is an onsite position with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and collaboration within a highly skilled team.

Responsibilities- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to enhance test yields, throughput, test capacity, and product quality
- Identify test failure trends and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions
- Prepare test failure analyses for production and study performance/reliability of test equipment
- Support technicians to resolve complex test failures quickly
- Analyze test approaches for cost reduction, efficiency, yields, and capacity opportunities
- Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and equipment needs
- Select and order capital test equipment using cost/payback analyses and manage appropriation requests
- Improve test fixtures/equipment to boost performance
- Participate in Production Readiness Reviews for new designs
- Lead gage R&R efforts on new test solutions to ensure consistent performance
- Drive cross-assembly process improvements and develop tools to increase production rates
- Implement procedural and process improvements prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity
- Improve facilities and equipment layouts
Key requirements- Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
- Manufacturing and/or electrical component troubleshooting experience
