Overview

In this role, you will own and drive nationwide construction programs for new builds, retrofits, and capacity upgrades across Amazon's Customer Fulfillment sites. You will align planning, design, and operations with senior leadership, enforce governance across PMs, and deliver on-time, on-budget project execution. You'll analyze budgets, schedules, and risks, and provide executive updates to Directors. This position combines construction engineering, planning, and contract management to scale fulfillment capabilities and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Manage programs for new construction, renovations, and capacity upgrades of Amazon FC facilities across North America
  • Align program goals, execution strategy, roles, risk management, and reporting with planning teams and business leadership
  • Support execution teams with centralized processes, reports, escalation management, and issue resolution
  • Work independently in ambiguous programs with minimal leadership direction
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement to drive regional efficiencies
  • Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability
  • Coordinate resource planning and procure supplemental programmatic resources as needed
  • Identify and resolve clashes and schedule conflicts across execution teams
  • Provide design standard reviews for value engineering and design enhancements
  • Review and validate design changes for cost and program impact with Engineering Change Management
  • Lead or assist negotiations with regulatory bodies and AHJ entities
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Architecture
  • 5+ years with AutoCAD and/or BIM and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
  • 5+ years as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or related construction discipline
  • 5+ years of project management from design through construction completion and handover
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts
