Overview In this role you lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and drive the supplier quality program to ensure high performance and compliant processes. You collaborate with Procurement, QA, and Manufacturing to address supplier qualification and root-cause issues. You develop metrics and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality and yield. You support new product introductions and cost reduction initiatives while ensuring FDA and company requirements are met. You will shape quality across a global supplier network and mentor your team.

Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Supplier Quality Engineering staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and corrective actions at the supplier level
- Mentor and conduct performance reviews, aligning team goals with management direction
- Investigate supplier defects, execute root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
- Manage supplier performance data, communicate results, and lead supplier improvement audits
- Support supplier qualification, vendor identification, and qualification during new product introductions and cost reduction efforts
- Ensure SQE processes comply with company and FDA requirements across internal and supplier sites
- Provide status updates to management on supplier quality and performance metrics
- Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives in SQE processes
- Collaborate with Purchasing, QA, and Manufacturing to resolve issues arising in incoming inspection and supplier certifications
- Oversee resource management and prioritization for NPI, cost reduction, and part sourcing
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical discipline or 10+ years' experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer with supervisory experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience in technical management
- ASQ CQE and CMQ/OE certifications preferred; CQE preferred
- Experience improving supplier quality and auditing background
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (PCB, injection molding, machining)
- Experience with ISO 9001/13485, Lean, and Six Sigma
- Familiarity with FDA QSR documentation requirements
