Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations, Business Development

In this role you will lead cross-partnership initiatives and run BD operations to optimize how Bain partners with third-party firms. You will shape the partnerships program, drive investment decisions, and enhance the commercial motion across the firm. You will modernize ways of working, leverage insights from technology, and coordinate with senior stakeholders to maximize impact. • Drive cross-partnership strategic initiatives with BD leadership and senior stakeholders to allocate time and budget across partnerships
• Identify opportunities to grow the partnership pipeline and create a proactive commercial cadence
• Align with Practice/Solution/Product leadership on partnership needs and priorities
• Evaluate technology infrastructure and AI-enabled insights to optimize activities and automation
• Engage cross-Bain stakeholders to reflect strategic priorities in BD work and partnerships
• Lead cross-partnership efforts with executives to secure input and decisions, and prepare materials for LT and affiliate meetings
• Coordinate with L&D to train partner firms and support training events
• Collaborate with Bain marketing to present cross-partnership activities, events, and PR
• Coordinate with program management teams on initiatives involving AIS, GC, or other Bain populations
• Respond to external partnership inquiries (e.g., Gartner reports) to support external communications
• Manage BD team talent and training, and orchestrate the rhythm of business (agendas, updates, milestones)
• Oversee annual budgeting, monitor spend, and reallocate resources as needed
• Support recruiting and onboarding for BD team members
• Foster an inclusive, positive environment and model leadership behaviors
• Demonstrate thought leadership and influence stakeholder decision-making

• Minimum of 5 years' work experience
• Solid strategic and analytical toolkit
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong presentation skills with comfort speaking to executives
