Overview

In this role, you drive process improvement within a Distribution Center using Walmart Performance System tools to reduce quality losses. You will lead projects, analyze KPIs, and develop standard work to minimize variation while collaborating with area managers and cross-functional teams. Your work supports the Quality Excellence program, translating insights into practical improvements and sustainable savings. You will mentor teams, promote a culture of learning, and uphold Walmart's ethics and customer-centric mission. This is a chance to shape how we eliminate waste and improve performance at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using 5S, root cause analysis, time and motion studies to reduce quality losses
  • Compile deviations, contribute to One Best Way playbooks, and support improvement teams with project ideation and replication
  • Manage top quality-loss projects and build capability of area managers and associates
  • Create area quality loss profiles and performance metrics; develop gap analyses for WPS integration
  • Drive quality-related savings and create standard work to reduce process variation
  • Support KPI improvements, associate engagement, and delivery of department-level results
  • Coordinate activities, manage stakeholder relationships, and communicate goals and progress
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition
  • Ensure policy compliance and promote ethics, Open Door Policy, and continuous learning
  • Promote collaboration, belonging, and a culture of integrity and accountability
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3 years' experience in Quality or Process Improvement OR 5 years' experience in Engineering or Process Improvement with Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Demonstrated project ownership leading to sustainable savings
  • Microsoft Office Suite, analytical skills
