Overview In this role you will design packaging for complex subsystems that integrate optical, photonic, optoelectronic, electrical and mechanical elements. You will own mechanical designs from concept to flight qualification and work with optical engineers to translate prescriptions into robust hardware. You will design mounts and systems for launch loads, thermal cycling, vacuum and other space-like environments, while shaping alignment strategies and tolerances. You will produce build-ready data packages and coordinate with vendors to deliver precision parts, with opportunities to lead and mentor others. This position offers a mission-driven environment that supports NASA and government missions
