Overview In this role you will help lead rotor design within Pratt & Whitney's Military Development Fan/LPC team. You'll work with cross-functional IPTs to drive design improvements, address issues, and support production ramp and validation. The position offers hands-on involvement from validation through production builds and requires collaboration across disciplines. You'll contribute to high-precision rotor hardware work and IBR modeling, shaping propulsion technology for military engines.

Responsibilities- Support the Military Development Fan/LPC program through final validation, production ramp, and into production builds
- Provide assembly and test support for IBRs during final validation and early production
- Address inquiries from assembly teams and quality notifications; investigate failures as needed
- Identify tolerance improvements, manufacturability improvements, and engineering changes with vendors
- Execute First Piece Reviews on rotor hardware and develop IBR models for aero/structures analysis
- Support production quality notifications and QN closure with required disciplines
Key requirements- B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 5+ years of mechanical design experience or advanced degree with 3+ years
- Experience with rotor hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods
- U.S. citizenship is required (naturalized or dual citizens may apply with approval)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
