Responsibilities- Lead the design and technical delivery of railway track and trackwork for various rail projects
- Oversee track alignments, rail geometry, turnouts, crossovers, depot layouts, yard configurations, and special trackwork
- Review calculations, specifications, reports, construction documentation, and design deliverables
- Ensure compliance with AREMA, EN standards, and railway regulations
- Provide technical leadership during design and construction phases
- Participate in construction planning, constructability assessments, and problem solving
- Review contractor submissions and documentation; support testing and commissioning
- Perform site inspections and monitor quality, safety, and compliance
- Mentor multidisciplinary teams; coordinate with civil, structural, systems, operations, and construction specialists
- Engage with clients, contractors, railway operators, and regulatory agencies; contribute to planning, risk management, and proposals
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of railway engineering experience
- Experience on major High-Speed Rail projects (300 km/h+ / 186 mph+)
- Strong track design and trackwork experience
- Experience through design, construction, testing, and commissioning
- Deep understanding of railway alignment design, track geometry, operational requirements, and rail systems integration
- Familiarity with AREMA standards and international rail standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management
- Willingness to relocate to the United States under an expatriate assignment
