Overview

As a Benefits & Compensation Specialist, you support the administration and analysis of our benefits and compensation programs to enhance data integrity and employee experience. You will partner with Payroll, Talent, and vendors to ensure accurate program administration and compliance. You'll lead open enrollment and contribute to annual compensation cycles, system enhancements, and reporting. This role blends data-driven processes with a service mindset to advance our people programs and organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Administer health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary plans)
  • Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries on benefits, eligibility, enrollments, claims, and policy interpretation
  • Lead annual open enrollment; manage system setup, testing, communications, data validation, issue resolution
  • Coordinate with employees, vendors, and benefit carriers to resolve issues
  • Review eligibility and deductions for accurate payroll processing and vendor reporting
  • Support compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related requirements
  • Administer compensation programs (salary changes, promotions, market adjustments, reclassifications)
  • Support annual compensation planning, merit reviews, system configuration, testing, and audits
  • Maintain compensation structures, pay ranges, and HRIS configuration
  • Participate in external compensation surveys and market benchmarking
  • Prepare compensation reports and analyses for decision-making and workforce planning
  • Support recognition programs (e.g., Key Contribution Award)
  • Maintain and audit data across HRIS, payroll, vendors, and carrier systems
  • Validate data to ensure accurate payroll and reporting
  • Support system upgrades, testing, implementations, and maintenance
  • Develop procedures, training materials, and process documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and employee experience
Key requirements
  • Bachelor
  • Minimum of three (3) years of health and welfare benefit administration
  • Compensation program administration exposure
  • Experience with HRIS platforms
  • Familiarity with retirement benefits preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service
