Overview In this Estimator role, you will evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure complete, competitive proposals. You will aggressively follow up with subs to secure bids and collaborate with Project Management to track bids and budgets toward winning projects. You'll review requirements for projects around $500K or less, documenting all aspects to support accurate estimates. You bring strong numbers, attention to detail, and clear communication to a team focused on improving West Coast energy infrastructure. Responsibilities- Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to develop complete estimates
- Aggressively follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received
- Collaborate with Project Management to monitor bids and budgets
- Review bid requirements for projects $500K or less, ensuring thorough documentation
- Provide accurate, timely estimating work with strong attention to detail and organization
- Communicate findings clearly, both orally and in writing
- Assist and guide other team members while not having formal management duties
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of substation estimating experience
- Experience in utility construction estimating
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
