Responsibilities- Prepare and complete estimates for assigned projects across multiple disciplines
- Review specifications, drawings, and quantities; conduct pre-bid meetings to define scope
- Compute cost factors, prepare management-useful estimates, and quantify labor/material/equipment
- Evaluate vendors/subcontractors and obtain quotations with Purchasing
- Interface with owner/architect/engineer/subcontractors to share cost data and feasibility
- Maintain backup cost documents and price data with Purchasing
- Support other disciplines and assist with design option analysis and value engineering
- Assist with change orders, extra work items, and material procurement after award
- Ensure safety considerations are integrated into estimates and align with Allan Myers Safety Program
- Provide lead direction to Estimator I or team members and mentor as needed
- Prepare bid proposals, verify contracts and pre-bid schedules, and transfer data to project teams
Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of construction experience in estimating, operations, or engineering
- OSHA 10 hour certification
- Technical familiarity with preconstruction planning, safety policies, and related procedures
