Overview

Chewy seeks a Finance Manager to drive FP&A for the Commercial Finance Consumables team. You will build models, analyze large data sets, and deliver clear recommendations to leadership. You'll define metrics, support planning, and partner with cross-functional teams to align on drivers and objectives. You will improve forecasting, reporting quality, and process efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a chance to influence growth and financial performance.

Responsibilities
  • Build and communicate financial models and analyses from large data sets to inform leadership decisions
  • Support reporting and performance management frameworks with key metrics and KPIs
  • Partner with Category Finance, Consumables Merchandising, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting, and the broader Finance team to drive decision-making
  • Lead intraperiod forecasting with risk/opportunity tracking and variance analysis across actuals, plan, and forecast
  • Support strategic planning, target setting, and quarterly/annual planning with enhanced models
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and process automation
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high precision and clarity in analyses
  • Provide variance analyses with clear explanations of drivers and trends
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of FP&A or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L mechanics, and forecasting processes
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with large datasets
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights
  • Strong problem-solving with attention to detail; ability to connect drivers to outcomes
  • Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • SQL or other data querying tools preferred
  • Ability to think creatively, be self-starter, work independently, handle ambiguity, and meet deadlines
