Overview

As a Senior Client Tax Accountant, you will oversee tax-related work for Fisher Investments US PCG clients, collaborating with the Financial Planning Services group to deliver comprehensive tax planning, prep, filing, and compliance. You will provide white-glove service through in-person and virtual consultations, coordinating with Investment Counselors and client-facing teams. You drive end-to-end tax solutions for high-net-worth clients and mentor staff while aligning with regulatory requirements and company goals. This role offers meaningful impact in helping clients optimize taxes within approved frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead preparation of tax returns, schedules, payments, reports and other deliverables
  • Review federal, state, and local individual income tax returns (Forms 1040) and provide feedback to staff
  • Develop tax solutions for complex issues or errors in filings
  • Coordinate information gathering with HNW clients and Investment Counselors
  • Meet with HNW clients to advise on tax strategies and holistic planning
  • Identify and implement tax strategies to minimize taxes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
  • Schedule and manage workload of Client Tax Accountants
  • Review colleagues' work and provide timely feedback
  • Train staff on relevant software and technology
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of direct tax experience preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in tax preparation software (CCH Axcess preferred)
