Overview In this role you support the design and analysis of electrical systems for Mission Critical facilities, delivering construction documents and ensuring code compliance. You work with cross-functional teams to shape project scope, budgets, and design approaches. You will tackle feasibility studies, system sizing, and coordination of architectural, electrical, and mechanical components. Responsibilities- Design and analyze electrical systems for installation, interconnection, and control of architectural/electrical/mechanical components
- Develop construction documents and specifications for lighting, power, low voltage, and control systems
- Review project scope, budget, and design approach with Project Manager or client
- Apply NEC and NFPA standards to electrical design and sizing of equipment
- Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages
- Produce construction documents per company and client standards
- Collaborate with project teams to define scope, budget, and design approach
- Review shop drawings for conformance and respond to submittals and RFIs
- Prepare project cost estimates and maintain organized project files
- Conduct field measurements and site checks
- Edit and draft project specifications with assistance
Key requirements- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash software (SKM, ETAP or EasyPower)
- Experience with underground ductbank ampacity calculations (SKM, ETAP or CYMCAP)
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, BIM 360 and Autodesk File Management Systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards and project quality/schedule adherence
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Registration: LEED accreditation preferred
