Overview In this role you will oversee performance engineering and advanced troubleshooting of large rotating equipment across the natural gas pipeline system. You'll act as the owner's engineer to optimize efficiency, reliability, and emissions compliance, supporting both daily operations and long-term asset optimization. You will collaborate with field ops, engineering, project execution, asset integrity, and vendors to minimize downtime and extend asset life. This position offers meaningful impact on safe, reliable energy delivery and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide performance engineering and technical oversight for rotating equipment (compressors, drivers, and skid-mounted systems)
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for asset issues
- Act as owner's engineer to drive reliability, efficiency, and emissions compliance
- Support day-to-day operations and long-term asset optimization initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Field Operations, Operations Engineering, Project Execution, Asset Integrity, and vendors
- Aim to minimize unplanned downtime and improve lifecycle performance of rotating equipment
Key requirements- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong work ethic with initiative
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
