Overview In this role you drive end-to-end continuous improvements in Walmart's Distribution Center, partnering with senior leaders to reduce losses and raise efficiency. You will shepherd process improvements across operations, aligning with Walmart's Performance and Daily Management Systems. You'll lead and develop teams of process engineers, applying structured problem-solving to sustain gains. Responsibilities- Coordinate end-to-end improvement initiatives with General Manager and Process Improvement Manager
- Balance network-driven projects with site-specific improvements by prioritizing and allocating resources
- Apply CI tools (RCA, Time and Motion Studies, SPC, 5S, Six Sigma) to eliminate losses and establish standards
- Support and demonstrate effectiveness of Walmart Performance System and Daily Management System via root-cause analysis and countermeasures
- Collaborate on network One Best Way standard implementation and deviation processes
- Drive multiple business plans by identifying needs, communicating priorities, removing obstacles, and tracking performance with contingency planning
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, fostering a team-based culture and evaluating performance
- Promote compliance with policies and ethics, encouraging an open-door culture and community engagement
- Evaluate ongoing plans/programs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, incorporating stakeholder feedback and ensuring business needs are met
- Promote inclusivity and a sense of belonging while attracting and retaining talent and promoting continuous learning
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering or related field; 4 years in Continuous Improvement or related area or 6 years in Engineering/CI; 4 years' experience leading teams
- Knowledge and application of Quality Management System elements (SPC, FMEA, QKPIs)
