Responsibilities- Research and develop innovative circuit designs for Axon Robotics products
- Design, develop, and verify system circuitry and embedded mixed-signal hardware
- Collaborate with PCB engineers on layout and Allegro or similar tools
- Lead component selection and supplier engagement for parts
- Oversee electronics development across concept to mass production
- Lead schematic and layout design inspections to improve reliability
- Develop test methods and plans to validate designs
- Bring up, debug, and characterize systems with lab instruments
- Evaluate performance and regulatory compliance of circuits
- Create and maintain assembly drawings, BOMs, Geber files, and release-ready documentation
- Partner with NPI to define test requirements for production testers
- Share knowledge and mentor team members
Key requirements- 9+ years of electronics design experience in high-speed digital embedded systems
- Experience with QMIPI, PCI, DDR and related interfaces
- Strong hardware design leadership across concept to mass production
- EMC/EMI and ESD protection design experience
- Scripting proficiency (Python or similar) for automation
- Collaborates with firmware to develop and debug embedded systems
- Hands-on bring-up, characterization, and debugging with lab tools
- Strong schematic design skills; experience with Cadence/OrCAD desired
- PCB layout experience for rigid, flex, and rigid-flex boards
- Experience passing regulatory standards (FCC, CE, IEC)
