Overview

In this role, you will act as an information security SME to help military clients identify cyber risks, interpret applicable policies, and craft mitigation plans. You'll examine technical and personnel details to map the full threat landscape and guide clients through action plans with clear milestones and deliverables. You will translate complex security concepts for decision-making and work with cross-functional teams to secure mission-critical systems. This opportunity lets you shape security programs at scale, with a strong focus on DoD/IC compliance and risk reduction.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct security risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for client environments
  • Review technical and personnel details to map threat landscapes and advise on actions
  • Deliver plan-of-action guidance using presentations and white papers with milestones
  • Translate security concepts for executive and technical stakeholders to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security and compliance improvements
  • Advise on DoD and IC security frameworks to ensure client compliance
  • Act as subject matter expert on information security and compliance management
Key requirements
  • Experience conducting security audits and enforcing security policies
  • Experience managing security tools (SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, identity management)
  • Experience ensuring compliance with DoD and IC security frameworks
  • Experience with Splunk, Microsoft Defender, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Tenable Nessus
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or Information Security with 2+ years of related experience, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Nice to Have: CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
