Responsibilities- Advise on asset-portfolio priorities (e.g., restructuring, capital planning, balance-sheet optimization) and redesign value chains
- Provide energy consulting to navigate energy transition and sustainability strategies
- Establish and expand trading and risk management activities across energy and other commodities
- Lead project teams to shape investment/divestment transactions and agile business models
- Analyze client business to improve product margins, supply certainty, and reduce volatility
- Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to craft market-entry strategies for growth
- Strengthen client relationships to position Accenture as a long-term advisor
- Lead teams in delivering insights using data models and visualization tools
- Manage junior Strategy team members
- Travel up to 80% when needed
Key requirements- Minimum 8 years of consulting or equivalent internal experience, or 8 years in the energy sector within commodity markets or investment banking
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; experience in statistics or data analysis (2-3 years) is a plus
- Knowledge of global markets, commodity trends, and trading/marketing of commodities
- Exposure to energy, chemicals, soft commodities, agriculture, metals, mining, utilities, transportation, consumer goods, or capital markets
- Experience with energy transition and sustainability is a plus
- Familiarity with strategy frameworks, research, data analysis, digital analytics, and applied intelligence
- Proficiency in business case development, financial analysis, and financial statements; Excel/VBA and modeling tools
- Proven leadership in teams and complex strategy engagements
- Eligibility to work in the US (no sponsorship assumed)
