Overview As Commissioning Engineer II, you drive end-to-end commissioning of data center base building and systems, ensuring installations meet standards and client specs. You act as a project manager and liaison with third-party agents, coordinating cross-functional teams to validate connectivity, security, life safety, electrical, and mechanical subsystems. You'll document results, lead testing, and develop SOPs and ERP procedures to support operations. Your work enables reliable, scalable data center performance and continuous improvement across sites.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute commissioning plans for Level 1-5 systems across electrical, mechanical, and building automation
- Conduct and witness testing, validate sequence of operations, and ensure proper documentation and as-built records
- Identify and resolve issues with project teams, providing feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Create and review test procedures, commissioning reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and facilities operations to ensure seamless system integration
- Implement quality control and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Develop SOPs, MOPs, and ERP procedures with facilities operations; provide end-user training
- Utilize Change Management processes for preventative and corrective maintenance; manage documentation in QTS systems
Key requirements- Five or more years of data center engineering, commissioning, or project management experience
- Background in CCTV, access control, network/telecommunications, or fire detection/suppression systems
- Ability to travel to other Data Center locations as required
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
