Overview Senior Safety Engineer needed to drive avionics safety and reliability within the Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety team. You will guide system-level safety analyses and support cross-functional engineering to deliver safe, ready-for-operation avionics for air transport customers. The role combines technical rigor with collaboration across disciplines to influence design choices and safety milestones. You will mentor peers and shape safety strategies that impact pilots, passengers, and operators.

Responsibilities- Lead ARP4761 civil safety assessment processes aligned with stakeholders and leadership
- Prepare and peer-review System Safety Plans, FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs, FTAs, and CMAs
- Support hardware, software, and systems engineering in defining safety requirements
- Analyze continued airworthiness risk for field issues
- Review design and development documentation for safety-critical equipment
- Mentor and train less experienced safety engineers
- Be accountable to team and leadership for committed work
- Identify and execute strategic discipline initiatives
- Develop expertise across assigned program areas and collaborate with customers and leaders
- Establish as a recognized technical expert in avionics safety
Key requirements- University degree with minimum 8 years of experience, or advanced degree with minimum 5 years
