Overview As a Cloud Migration Architect, you will design and operate production workloads on AWS, lead Kubernetes-based deployments, and implement scalable CI/CD and IaC pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to migrate and optimize applications, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient cloud environments. The role offers exposure to large-scale cloud architectures and governance, with a focus on automation and modernization. This is a hands-on role in Lansing, MI, driven by a strong culture of value and excellence.

Responsibilities- Build and operate production AWS workloads (Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, S3)
- Manage Kubernetes deployments (EKS, Helm, kubectl, ingress, HPA) and troubleshoot pods/services/networking
- Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux and manage multi-environment promotions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Pipelines or equivalent) with multi-stage releases
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred, or CloudFormation/CDK) in production
- Collaborate with DBA teams on RDS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), migrations, and secrets management
- Linux system administration and shell scripting for automation
- Coordinate migration cutovers and ensure secure, scalable cloud operations
Key requirements- 5-6+ years producing workloads on AWS
- 3+ years with Kubernetes (production EKS preferred)
- Solid Docker experience (multi-stage builds, image hardening, ECR)
- Non-negotiable experience with ArgoCD or Flux GitOps
- Strong CI/CD tooling experience (Azure DevOps Pipelines or equivalent)
- IaC experience with Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation/CDK
- DB familiarity with RDS (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) and secrets rotation
- Linux administration and shell scripting
- AWS services (Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager)
- Kubernetes (Helm, kubectl, ingress ALB/NGINX, HPA)
