Overview As Director of Supplier Industrialization Engineering, you will steer end-to-end supplier readiness from concept to full-rate production, bridging Engineering, Supply Chain, Programs, and Manufacturing. You will shape multi-year supplier development and qualification strategies to ensure cost, production rate, and performance targets are met. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on optimization of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and ramp execution. You will partner across functions to drive manufacturability, resilience, and value for Anduril's defense programs. Your work will directly enable scalable, reliable supply for high-performance systems.

Responsibilities- Lead and scale the Supplier Industrialization Engineering team to drive manufacturing readiness from NPI through sustained production
- Own end-to-end supplier industrialization processes: capability assessments, APQP, PPAP, process validation, and FAI
- Develop multi-year supplier development and second-source strategies for critical components
- Lead supplier engagements for process optimization, yield improvement, cost reduction, and capacity planning
- Establish and maintain supplier quality standards in line with aerospace and defense requirements (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145, NADCAP, ITAR/DFARS)
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Program Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance to align activities with program milestones
- Define and monitor KPIs and supplier scorecards; report risks and opportunities to executives
- Identify and mitigate risks to supplier readiness, including obsolescence management and contingency planning
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing across the supply base
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, aerospace), supply chain management, or related technical field
- 10+ years in supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or supplier industrialization in complex manufacturing with mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
- At least 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams
- Proven experience with APQP/PPAP, supplier capability assessments, and production readiness reviews
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging, composites, electronics assembly, surface treatments) and quality systems
- Ability to build and scale teams and processes from early stages to mature operation
- Strong cross-functional communication, able to influence executive leadership and external partners
- Travel up to 25% to supplier sites domestically and internationally
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
