Overview In this role you drive the growth of HDR's Power program across PA, OH, WV, and DE by leading market development and talent strategy. You'll work with regional and national leaders to shape the direction of the Power sector, expanding client relationships and diversifying services. You help deliver a range of power-focused engineering and advisory offerings and ensure projects are staffed and executed with quality. Responsibilities- Grow and monitor HDR's Power services portfolio across the named states
- Partner with business development leaders to anticipate market trends and diversify work
- Identify and pursue services including design, consulting, owners engineering, asset management, and due diligence
- Establish external teaming relationships and represent HDR in industry associations
- Provide leadership and project management to ensure staff is aligned and work is delivered to a high standard
- Manage client relationships and project management activities, serving as Principal-in-Charge or Project Manager
- Coordinate with leadership to align resources, expertise, and marketing for client delivery
- Drive local and regional client growth, including recruiting staff to support business development and marketing plans
- Lead and motivate staff to meet growth goals
- Collaborate with operations and managers to support work sharing and resource planning
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience
- Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services
- Experience building client relationships and pursuing programs/projects
- Experience with staff development including recruiting and career paths
- Active involvement with industry associations and market visibility
- Ability to collaborate with regional and area leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture
- PE license or industry equivalent (preferred)
- PMP Certification (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 25%
