Overview As Preservation & Maintenance Lead, you will drive maintenance and materials preservation for a client facility in the Greater New Orleans area. You will implement materials management processes, oversee HSSE adherence, and manage cross-functional activities to keep equipment fit for use. The role demands strong communication, organization, and the ability to integrate new processes within a large organization. You will track service levels with KPI-driven performance metrics while collaborating with site leadership to meet objectives.
Responsibilities- Manage preservation and maintenance contract personnel training and development
- Oversee HSSE in coordination with the Site Manager
- Lead JSA/JSEA activities for maintenance work
- Plan and execute work-orders to comply with regulatory requirements
- Create and approve preservation maintenance plans for asset equipment
- Coordinate third-party personnel and ensure HSE, supervision, and quality
- Plan, schedule, and reconcile all work-orders
- Assess equipment on arrival to maintain fit-for-use condition
- Coordinate rental of material handling equipment for PM activities
- Identify scrap/surplus/obsolete items with item owners
- Communicate service levels via KPI program
- Participate in annual planning and objective setting
- Identify and implement innovation opportunities
- Perform duties as assigned by Site Supervisor
Key requirements- Ten years in a leadership role related to preservation and maintenance of oilfield materials
- Five years managing people and leading a diverse workforce
- Exceptional HSSE skills
- Five years+ experience with offshore platforms, drilling rigs, wellheads, and subsea materials preservation
- Experience managing third-party service providers for facility upkeep
- Proficiency with IT tools and desktop software; facility management systems preferred
- Proven ability to develop processes and procedures
- Experience using metrics/KPIs, scorecards, and performance reviews
